Our Inspiration

“Our inspiration for this charity stems from the profound example set by the beloved grandparents of our Trustees Abdullah and Zubeda Gani (May the Almighty grant them peace and unite them in Paradise, Ameen).

They lived by the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who said, ‘The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others’ (Hadith, Al-Mu’jam Al-Awsat).

Though they had little, their home was a sanctuary where the doors remained open to anyone in need, day or night. Their true legacy was revealed after their passing, as tributes poured in from far and wide, recounting how their selfless acts of kindness eased burdens and brought relief to countless lives.

Our grandfather, lovingly called ‘Gani’ (meaning rich), was rich not in wealth but in compassion and care for others.

While we are not a charity exclusively for Muslims, our principles and values are deeply rooted in the teachings of Islam, which emphasise compassion, generosity, and service to all of humanity.

Our commitment to serve humanity is deeply rooted in the life and legacy of Hafiz Sadiq Master RA (May the Almighty be pleased with him and grant him the highest rankings in Paradise, Ameen). Hafiz Sadiq was much more than a teacher, he was a friend, a travel companion, and a mentor who profoundly touched the hearts of those around him.

He was always ready with his support, wisdom, or advice and never hesitated to offer a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. His selflessness and unwavering commitment to helping others continue to inspire us.

‘Be kind, for whenever kindness becomes part of something, it beautifies it’

(Sahih Muslim).

One of his lasting words of wisdom, “never stop caring,” serves as our guiding principle, reminding us to carry forward his legacy of compassion and service in everything we do.

May the Almighty accept the efforts of our elders, grant them eternal peace, and inspire us to honour their legacy through our work. Ameen.
